Fiona began Tap & Jazz at the age of 3 with Mrs. Lesley Tuxford studying the internationally acclaimed tap syllabus L.G.T.D.A. At the age of 7 she continued her training with Mr. Les Griffith and after his passing she completed her tap exams with Donna Michalitsis and Pullar's Dancing Academy. Fiona also had great success in eisteddfods' through out NSW, ACT & QLD winning many championships & scholarships. Fiona received her teaching certificates and is now a registered teacher with L.G.T.D.A.
After performing in Star Struck for two years Fiona was successful in securing a position in the "Tap Ensemble" which featured in The Sydney School Spectacular, the Australia Day Celebrations for Prince Charles & special performances at Darling Harbour.
Fiona's first stage appearance in Musical Theatre was in Metropolitan Player's successful season of Grease where she was a member of the dance ensemble. She also performed in Billy and Singin' In The Rain at The Griffith Duncan Theatre. Fiona started teaching at the age of fourteen with Pullar's Dancing Academy and since then has taught at numerous studios including Hunter Valley Tap gaining excellent experience.
After Fiona finished her HSC she completed a degree at the University of Newcastle in Bachelor of Communications Media Arts. Following her University education Fiona moved to Sydney to work for Channel Ten for 3 years and is now currently working at NBN.


 
   
 

Robyn began dancing at the age of 5 learning classical ballet with Elaine Morgan studying the Royal Academy of Dancing (R.A.D) syllabus. During her years of training she learnt with Tessa Maunder and Tap with Les Griffith and completed her ballet exams including Advanced with honours. Robyn then travelled to France to Rosella High Tower Centre De Dance Classique in Cannes and studied Classical Ballet. From there she travelled to Belgium and danced in the Opera Die Flieder and then travelled to London and Europe doing Cabaret. On her return to Newcastle Robyn taught for Jessie Brownlie teaching all forms of dance then opened her own school which was very successful during 35+ years of operation. Students excelled in eisteddfod solos and groups and received wonderful results in their R.A.D Junior & Major examinations. Robyn has trained students who have been accepted into The Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, Peter Shauffer Ballet Company in Denmark, Sydney Dance Company and has girls accepted into many cruise ships travelling around the Caribbean and USA.
With Robyn's vast expertise and experience she is a great asset to HVT.


 
   
 

Jackie began vocal training at the age of twelve and has recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the Newcastle Conservatorium majoring in voice. Jackie has also completed her Associate Diploma with Trinity College London singing exams. Since commencing teaching, Jackie's vocal students have achieved great success in local eisteddfods and have performed in musicals such as Children of Eden, Shining Isle and South Pacific.
Throughout high school Jackie was heavily involved in Drama, and was nominated for OnStage for her HSC self-devised individual performance.
Since making her musical theatre debut in 1997, Jackie has appeared in many musicals including Hans Christian Andersen, The Sound of Music, State Fair, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wiz, Trial By Jury, Candide, Songs for a New World and Les Miserables. Jackie has also performed the roles of Kate and Edith in The Pirates of Penzance (the latter of which she was nominated for a CONDA), Brenda in The Pyjama Game, Julie Jordan in Carousel, Grace in Working, Mad Margaret in Ruddigore, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Yonah in Children of Eden (for which she was nominated for a CONDA), Rose Alverez in Bye Bye Birdie and Maureen in Rent.
Jackie has also appeared in plays such as Dancing at Lughnasa as Maggie, There Goes The Bride as the Bride, The Crucible as Mary Warren, Female Transport as Sarah, and Stringers Last Stand as Bessie Stringer.
Last year Jackie played alongside Jon English in the JJK production of Blood Brothers in the role of Linda, and was fortunate enough to win a CONDA for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for the role. This year Jackie is looking forward to touring with Jon English's Blood Brothers.
2008 will see Jackie's directorial debut with Breakfast Club opening in February at the Civic Playhouse. She will also perform in a Celebration of 80's Musicals at Club 71, Trouble in Tahiti with Opera Hunter and she will play the role of Meg in Little Women, also with Club 71.
